Allow me to introduce...

...three little hippos: Darrel, Sodapop, and Ponyboy.

These are their adventures.

We were trying to come up with three sisters to name them after but there was always one name that just didn't fit. So I suggested that we each pick our favorite character from literature and name our hippos that way. That's when the middle sister had the fabulous idea that we borrow the names of my favorite brothers in literature from S.E. Hinton, the Curtis brothers. I was thrilled because that means I get to be Ponyboy! Darrel lives in Seattle, Soda in La Mesa, and me in Hollywood.

Oh, and if you've never read The Outsiders, or at least seen the movie, I suggest you get up to speed.
