The Backwards Song
The Backwards Song
Well, I walked up the door
And I opened the stairs
Said my pajamas
And put on my prayers
Turned out the bed
And jumped into the light
All because you kissed me
(blow a kiss)
Good night!
Well, I woke up in the morning
And I scrambled my shoes
Shined up my eggs
And toasted the news
Buttered my tie
And took another bite
All because you kissed me,
Never could resist me,
All because you kissed me
(blow a kiss)
Good night!

Call Me Katniss?
Katniss? I don't think so.
This was my first year at Girl Scout summer camp, Camp Winacka.
I loved summer camp!
I just found the San Diego-Imperial Council song book! What a hoot!
You can check out the official Camp Winacka song.
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Blinky the Clown
I loved Blinky when I was a kid!
For forty years he made kids in Denver happy.
I just found out Russell Scott,
the man in the red plaid jacket,
passed away last year.
Rest in peace dear sweet Blinky.

Stopped by to see Mom and Dad on my way out of town. It'll be three years for Dad on June 1st. Three years since I started taking classes with Jack. Three years since things started lurching and spinning and giving me a whole new path to follow whether I liked it or not. And I didn't. But now it's not so bad. Still sad sometimes. Sometimes great. But either way, not so bad.
